We wanted to remind you that the Italian dinner and our fundraiser is this Friday, August 26, at 6:00 pm. It will be held at North County Christ the King in Lynden, Washington. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
Today, I would like to share Isemane's story with you. Isemane gave her life to the Lord around five years ago, but struggled to walk with God, because of the influences of those around her. Isemane is 50 years old and has had a very hard life. She shared that she is living with a married man and has had 14 children, half of whom have died.
Isemane has been thrown into prison twice. The first time was because one of her son in laws gave her a goat to sell in the market and she was unaware that he had stolen the goat. The second time another son in law stole a motorcycle and gave her name to the police, so they arrested her. Pastor Nathan felt moved to help her and asked for her release. She is so grateful to the Lord and Pastor Nathan for paying the price for her freedom.
It has been 4 months now since Isemane gained her freedom and gave her heart to Jesus, she says she is not the same, she feels change in her life. She currently works in a cemetery carrying small rocks and buckets of sand to build tombs.
Please lift Isemane up in prayer, pray her eyes would be opened and that she would grow in her walk with God. Pray also for her provision and that she would be a light to others in her family and community. We are so thankful for your prayers and support as we try and walk with women like Isemane, helping them to live in freedom, changing their lives forever.
Blessings, Chris
